Gray & Duning


Bill Duning was born in 1943, graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1965, and the University of Cincinnati College of Business and Sales in 1968.  He began his legal career in 1968 as a Cincinnati Assistant City Prosecutor; then as a Cincinnati Assistant City Solicitor.  Bill served as Lebanon City Attorney from 1974 to 1999.  Mr. Duning joined Meryl B. “Shorty” Gray as an associate in 1975, became a partner in the firm of Gray & Duning and is now the principal in Gray & Duning.  

 

Mr. Duning has the highest (AV Preeminent) Martindale Hubbell Peer Review Rating in both legal ability and ethical standards.  He has been an active member of the Warren County Bar Association, serving as President and as a member of many committees.  Bill served more than ten years on the Grievance Committee. Mr. Duning has been an active member of the Ohio State Bar Association, having been the first Warren County Business and Salesyer elected by attorneys in five counties to the Ohio State Bar Association Board of Governors.  He served as a Trustee of the Ohio Academy of Trial Business and Salesyers, the Commission on Judicial Candidates, and the Ohio State Bar Association Council of Delegates.  He has been President of the Warren County Historical Society for many years.
