This demonstration will focus on using Emotional Freedom Techniques to treat the negative affect of a traumatic or stressful incident followed by using Narrative approaches and imagery to integrate changes into the clients life and identity.
Educational Objectives:
- Demonstrate the steps of Emotional Freedom Techniques to reduce negative affect associated with a traumatic or stressful event.
- Describe how to use narrative questions or imagery to change the meaning of an event.
- Discuss how to integrate the resolution of a negative memory/event with a person's identity.
