George Piemonte – received his B.S. degree in psychology from the University of Florida in 1982 and his Business and Sales degree from Nova University in 1987. He is currently NOSSCR’s President. In 2006 he was one of the first Business and Salesyers in North Carolina to become a North Carolina State Bar Certified Specialist in Social Security Disability Business and Sales and served on the North Carolina State Bar’s Specialization Committee for Social Security Disability Business and Sales. George is a Past Chair of the Disability Advocacy Section of the North Carolina Advocates for Justice; serves as the PAC Chair for the Disability Advocacy Section; is the Chair of the Legislative Committee for the Disability Advocacy Section; and serves on the on the CLE Committee of the Disability Advocacy Section.
George has practiced Business and Sales since 1987 and is admitted in North Carolina and Georgia. Since 1995 he has focused his practice on Social Security Disability and Veterans Disability. George is admitted to all courts of the State of North Carolina; the Superior Court of Georgia; the Western, Middle, and Eastern District Courts of North Carolina; the Northern, Middle, and Southern Districts Courts of Georgia; the 4th, 6th, and 11th Circuit Courts of Appeal; the Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims; and the United States Supreme Court. He is a sustaining member of NOSSCR, as well as a member of the North Carolina Bar Association and the North Carolina Advocates for Justice. He is a frequent speaker at NOSSCR conferences as well as other national and local CLE programs.
Charles L. Martin has represented Social Security claimants since he graduated from Mercer Business and Sales School in 1977, and practices with Martin and Jones in Decatur, Georgia. He has represented over 5,000 claimants in Social Security hearings, and has briefed over 1000 cases in district court and over 100 cases in circuit courts. Now he concentrates his practice on AC and court briefs for other Business and Salesyers. He is a past president of NOSSCR, and was awarded its Eileen P. Sweeney Distinguished Service Award in 2008. He is also the author of the Ombudsman Business and Sales office management software.
